Hundred Islands is a tourist destination located in Barangay Lucap, City of Alaminos, Pangasinan, Philippines. This is the first national park of the Philippines. It consists of 124 islands, but when water growth increases only 123 islands are seen. The island are scattered in the Lingayen Gulf and covers an area of 1844 hectares (4,556.62 acres). The island is believed to be two million years old. Only three islands are developed for tourists, the islands of the Governor, Quezon and Children. Of the three islands, only the Governor's Island is for the family use, and which there are rental rooms with two doors. Meanwhile, the Children's Island is for saving the traveler that the rooms have high gas lamp. Quezon Island and also is keen for picnic and camp.
Hundred Islands are included in the "Top 10 Beach Destinations" developed by Manila Bulletin Online in March 2007. Performed well in Alaminos City Tourism Summit on 12 December 2008 in Hundred Islands Pension House, Lucap Wharf. The purpose of the meeting is to unite tourism and assessed the plan of the city and intensifies the cooperation of both private and public sectors. Thus, sustainable spirit of "Bayanihan" from the two groups. Constantly Alaminos City rises up through the management of Mayor Hernani A. Braganza in collaboration with various organizations and people in promoting the Hundred Islands.
Route:
While traveling around the area from Manila a glimpse to the green fields, the blue sea, and the quiet countryside. Estimated time for travel is five to six hour trip from Manila to Alaminos, and up to 250 kilometers away. Among the bus from Manila, Baguio, Dagupan, Subic, Tarlac, and Zambales bound straight to Alaminos City and vice versa, are the public Victory Liner, Five Star, and Philippine Rabbit. From the terminal, either by private vehicle or tricycle, the Lucap Wharf is only a 10 to 15-minute ride away. You can find boats bound for the islands docked near the Wharf, with the Hundred Islands National Park Center staff eager to assist you with information and other things you'll need for your island adventure. The nearest islands from the Lucap Wharf are Sulpot Island, Monkey Island, Abad Santos Island and Hernandez Island, which are all 15 to 20 minutes away. The major islands, Children's, Governor's and Quezon can be reached after a 25 to 45-minute boat ride.
